part 4 of my story....
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back at the APS headquarters, everyone was feeling alright. They hadn't gotten their prey, but he would now be easier to catch since they had already faced him and had seen his moves. The members poured into the dimly lit hideout, all talking at once.
Casey stood in the middle of the room, glancing at all the spirited talking people. She felt uneasy. Keith took quite of few of her men out, but she still felt like some of hers weren't there. Mel was at sniper still and hadn't seen the monster yet... Leroy was dead... Ted...
Casey fidgeted. She scanned the crowd of her men. Ted and Rook were not present. "Ted! Rook! Anyone seen them?" The crowd quieted at their leader's voice. They all looked amongst themselves.
   "No.."
   "They're not here."
"Did they go with Keith accidentally?"
Mel interrupted them all. "I haven't seen the vampire leave.... wait! Wait! I see it!!" he exclaimed loudly, taking aim of the rifle quickly and firing off a few shots. The men crowded around the window, eager to see. Casey cursed and shoved them all out of her way as she went to look. She peered down at the warehouse to see the vampire darting across the street with something in his hands.
She was silent for a while, until Mel's shots ended and the monster was out of sight. Everyone slowly turned to their leader for further orders. She closed her eyes. ".....It got him.... Shit!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tim awoke slowly, lazily opening his eyes. The blankets covering his legs felt warm and comfy... He yawned and stretched his arms out above his head. "*Yawn* Mmmmm... That was the best sleep I've had in-" He froze mid-stretch and remembered what had happened. "Ahhh!!! Where the heck am I?? What am I doing here!?!?" Tim jerked the covers off himself and fearfully looked around and saw that he was lying tucked into a comfy bed in a beautify decorated room. He jumped out of the bed, feeling the urgent need to leave immediately even though he had no idea where he was. It didn't really matter, he just wanted OUT.
'Last thing I remember, I was... yelling at the vampire, and he... grabbed my neck!' The boy's neck still stung a little where he'd been strangled... He scampered over to the door and reached out to try the handle. The golden knob face no resistance when turned. It was unlocked, so he exited through it. Before him was a long thin hallway and at the end of it, stairs going down. He quickly kept going, eager to leave. 'This must be the 'private place' he talked about!! ....I bet he's going to torture me for ruining his meal!! Or... maybe he'll keep me for a later snack, like meat in a freezer..!' Tim closed his eyes tightly and shook his head, clearing his mind. If he thought any more about that he would surely lose his mind.
'Calm down, calm down... Just find an exit. Run home. Then it'll all be like this never happened... It's going to be ok...' He stepped down the stairs steadily. 'Heck, maybe it never really happened, anyway! I could have amnesia... Or... took drugs for some reason....' Tim found himself entering a very large room with a giant window, winding stairs going up in the center of the room, and amazing looking paintings and statues and shag carpeting. But he didn't much care to stop and look at the art. He looked around for an exit. 'Or maybe it's just a really long dream. That could work.' There was a door on the other side of the room that looked promising. He briskly strode for it. 'Or maybe I hit my head and this is really just some sweet old lady's house...'
"Ah, you're awake. Welcome to my home, human."
Standing in the middle of the elegant winding staircase was Jakyle, looking very amused at having complete control of the situation. His hand rested casually on the handrail and his outfit now included a tall collar and a white undershirt barely visible under his long black cloak. Lightning lit up the dark storm clouds visible from the large window Jakyle stood in front of. Sharp white teeth gleamed from under his smirk.
Tim stood rigid with his mouth dropped open and eyes glazed over like how a deer might look at an oncoming freight train.
After about fifteen seconds of this he remembered that he had legs. Tim bolted into a maniac run, wildly throwing his legs out in front of him, desperate to escape. Thoughts jumbled in his mind into a mess he couldn't understand. He didn't know where to go, what to do.. The only thing that spoke to him was his raw instinct to run like heck! He raced away from the room, toward a random door. It was the fastest Tim had ever ran in his life. When he got to it, he wasted no time tearing it open. And out from the other side of the door shot a hand. It grabbed Tim around the neck. "Ack!" he choked out.
Tim gasped in confusion. Jakyle tightened his grip slightly. "Ah-ah-ahh...." he tsked. "I'm a vampire. I'm faster, stronger, and smarter than you. Trying to run away will only make me angry, boy."
The vampire pushed Tim back and shoved him up against a wall. Tim raised his arms to Jakyle's hands. He knew there was no hope of stopping him, but he had to try at least. He looked to the side, away from the monster's face, not wanting to show his fear. "I'm.. sorry," he gasped. "I just.. I don't want to die..." He cringed helplessly and prepared himself for the pain.
The vampire smiled. "Don't you worry your little head, boy. There is a slightly high probability that if circumstances stay as they are, you will remain alive for now..." He relaxed his grip and lowered his hand from the human's neck, but did not step away from him.
Tim rubbed his neck tenderly. "That's.. not very reassuring..." He mumbled slowly and timidly. The vampire chuckled.
"I would be glad to tell you that you'll live, truly I would. But I'll be honest. Instinct compels me to drain you dry, and if I lose my will for an instant, then whoops...." Jakyle shrugged.
"Well, if you don't really want to kill me, then why did you kidnap me??"
Jakyle turned away from him and took a few steps. "...Because I hate humans. I've lived for thirty years as one, so I know what I'm talking about. They're lumbering oblivious hypocritical buffoons, all of them. I've never thought of one as any more than food. ..Until I saw you on that subway... My opinion has changed. You're different than those other humans. You didn't stand off to the side and let the woman die like the rest of the cattle did. You stood up to certain death even though you'd gain absolutely nothing from it. After I left, I didn't think I'd ever see or think of you again, but when I saw you with the APS, I knew I had to kidnap you..."
"Well, here I am... Now can you let me go now that you've captured me??" Tim asked desperately.
The vampire rubbed his goatee with a malicious grin. "Sorry kid, but I have no intention of letting you go... I want you right here..."
Tim gave him a look. "Ummm... then.. what do you want me to do....?"
   "Wait here..."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tim looked down at the meal sitting on the table before him. He felt extremely confused. The meal was fabulous and included a glazed and seasoned ham on a large platter sitting in front of him, complete with potatoes, rich gravy, corn, and fancy wineglasses filled to the brim with finely aged wine. The boy looked with utterly perplexed eyes across the expensive table at the monster.
"Think nothing of it," the vampire said, sipping his glass. "But do eat, your blood sugar must be low.... And try the wine."
Tim, not knowing what to say since he had expected to be tortured and slaughtered, mumbled out "Ummmm..... Thank you.. Sir." The vampire chuckled.
Tim took a swig from the wine glass. It tasted horrible to him, but he was so afraid that one wrong move might set the monster into another killing spree. He set it down and forced a smile. "Mmm..... delish...."
    "Your name is Tim, correct?"
   "Yes."
    "I am Jakyle."
"........Pleased to meet you..." the boy replied with badly hidden sarcasm.
The vampire smiled. "Funny as well? You're full of surprises, for a human... I believe you and I will get along..."
Tim took a bite of the meat which was honestly delicious, though really hard to enjoy. He looked weakly at the vampire. "Um.. I hope we get along, too..."
Jakyle watched the teen eat the potatoes and corn. Tim could barely stand the extremely awkward silence, but he had no idea what the vampire would do and definitely didn't want to offend him. But Tim couldn't help himself as he noticed the red liquid in Jakyle's cup. It was the only thing he had on his side of the table. "Um... Sir... are you really drinking.. b-"
Jakyle cut him off. "Red wine? Yes." He raised the glass to his eyes dramatically and obviously meant something else other than what he was saying. "Many people like their wine aged, but I prefer mine young and fresh... Speaking of which." He lowered the glass and intently looked at the kid. "I'd like a word with you."
Tim stood up sharply but didn't attempt to run. He knew better. "That is, if you're finished," Jakyle added.
    "Yes, Sir."
"Don't worry about the mess." He stood as well, twirling the wine glass in between his fingers. "You remember our first encounter, yes? You took pity on the woman I meant to kill and you begged me to spare her life. You told me to kill you instead. I not only obeyed you but also spared your life. So you will do me this small favor, now won't you?" His eyes were piercingly sharp. They watched Tim intently. Tim fidgeted under his gaze. He tried to figure out what he meant. But then a guess entered his mind.
"Oh... do you mean you want to....uhh..." Tim touched his neck, not wanting to mention the words under this circumstance. "But not go all the way..?"
The vampire seemed to find this funny and he chuckled darkly for a bit. "Alright, alright, I promise not to go all the way.... for now..." The last part sounded quite threatening.
Tim looked at him. "Is that why I'm here?" He did not feel very comfortable with the idea that he'd be like a faucet, turned on and off. But losing a little blood every once in a while to keep the vampire alive would be much better than the only other option... Something still seemed off about Jakyle's reactions, though. As if he wasn't thinking on the same page as Tim. Tim felt very uneasy about accepting the deal. But what other choice did he have?
"It is, among some other reasons.." Jakyle answered.
"Will it hurt a lot..?" Tim asked cautiously, reaching to his neck and rubbing it. The thought of the pain made him nervous.
"A bit, yes. But you will bare it and soon you'll like it...."
Tim couldn't imagine himself ever liking it, but he wasn't in a position to argue. "I guess.. I owe you my life..." He paused, forcing himself to say it. "Alright. Go ahead." Jakyle smirked.
"Thank you. I feel better with permission," he chuckled. He approached Tim from behind, already hissing in anticipation. Tim shivered but still pulled down his hoodie a bit and leaned his neck to the side, exposing the skin toward Jakyle. He closed his eyes, unable to watch, and shook as he felt the man's hot breath on his skin.
Jakyle placed his hand on the side of the boy's face, lifting his hair out of the way and steadying his shaking head. He leaned in from behind, head cocked, and inhaled the boy's scent and his hiss grew louder.
But instead of plunging his dagger-like fang's into the boy's throat, he suddenly clutched the boy's hair violently and yanked his head to the side so it faced Jakyle. Before Tim could even whimper, Jakyle captured the boy's mouth with his. Tim's eyes shot open in utter astonishment, but the vampire's closed as he pressed harder and kissed him harshly.
Tim attempted to push against the man's torso and break free, but Jakyle's hands were firmly holding him in place and couldn't be pried from his hair without ripping it out. Still, Tim struggled and pulled against the man's advance. He attempted to let out a muffled protest, but the vampire used the opportunity to slide his tongue into the boy's mouth. Tim whimpered and felt his legs grow weak. The vampire kept one hand clutching his hair but lowered the other to the boy's hip, drawing him close. Tim closed his eyes tight, fighting a loosing battle. He clawed at the man's hands, but Jakyle only pulled on his hair harder. And as quickly as he had started, the vampire stopped, pulling back, sliding his tongue from the boy's mouth, and smirked.
The human's eyes snapped wide open when he realized he was not being held. Tim shook and shivered, stuttering out incomprehensible things as he stumbled backwards, keeping the man in front of him where he could see him. He went as far back as he could, against a wall. His mind raced with fears. Despite the hyperventilation he finally managed to stutter out "Wha-Wha-What was that!? I-Is t-THAT what this is a-about!?!?" His voice cracked and shook, realizing that he was at the complete mercy of this man. He could do nothing to stop him, if he.......
"Well, obviously, that was a kiss. And yes, partially. Everything I've said has had a double meaning..." He explained.
Tim tried to calm down his racing heart as he realized that everything did have a double meaning that he hadn't noticed. "Saying I was special.... a private place.... that we can get along well together!! Oh my God! I agreed to it!!"
"Yes, exactly. And I believe everything I've told you. You are special."
Tim spit on the floor. "You sick bastard!!" He crossed his arms and glared at the vampire with rage. "NEVER! I won't let you do ANYTHING to me, you perverted-"
"You remember our agreement. You owe me your life." Jakyle said without humor.
"I didn't know that this is what you meant!!" Tim snapped.
"Oh? So now that you know, do you regret begging me to spare the pregnant woman? Would you rather I had killed her? Or maybe I should have obeyed you and killed you right then on the subway...Is that what you'd rather have? Because I could arrange both those things to happen if you so choose..." Jakyle waited for the boy's response.
"Well.....no." He looked down, unable to argue but unwilling to accept.
"And while you stay here, I will provide you with the best things that living 80 years can provide. You will never be hungry and will live in luxury," Jakyle added.
Tim bristled at him. "That doesn-"
"And as part of our deal, remember, I promised that I would not go all the way, for now. So you have no reason to worry for your virginity."
    "For now!?!?"
The vampire added honestly, "Yes, for now..."
The human scoffed loudly and crossed his arms tighter to his body. "You mean NEVER! That's..... That's just.... Augh!!" He tossed his hands in the air and then pointed at him while pushing back against the wall. "That won't happen. I don't care how yo-"
The vampire cut him off again. His voice and expression became very sympathetic and caring. "I knew you wouldn't be very happy with the deal, but you know what?"
Tim looked up at him with hatred, but also curiosity. Then he yelped as he realized the vampire was using his inhuman speed to sling his whole body over his shoulder. Tim kicked his legs and protested, trying to escape. But Jakyle held him firmly and carried him up the stairs and toward a familiar door. The teen let out a stream of curses and tried to pound upon his back, but Jakyle was very fast, and threw open the door. He grabbed the boy by his leg and shoulder, throwing him into the room like one might throw a backpack or a shirt. Tim crashed down on the bed with a thud, terrified and in a heap. Jakyle simply gave him a smile. "I just don't give a damn," he finished as he closed the door and locked it on him.
Part 4. Yep. finally got to the yoai. I have to say, it's even more fun to write than to draw. It was a blast to write. ^^ And I just love my characters. Well, that's enough from me. If I rant, then I'll spoil future things. You'll have to keep reading, and there's plenty more. As always, I love comments and criticism. Ty! ^^
