My Friend the Alien part 1...
This is another story of mine that contains light yaoi, so be warned. Yaoi means romance between males!
      --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Joey closed his eyes and sighed, leaning his head onto his hands.
"Be sure to read page 148 and do problems on page 149!" the teacher reminded his students. Joey nodded absently, hardly paying attention.
Joey was a teenage boy with messy brown hair and blue eyes. He was a very normal looking boy. There wasn't much about him that would catch your attention if he was in a crowd. And he didn't really mind this. Joey was happy being a very normal unnoticeable kid.
He was about to zone out again when the bell suddenly rang. Everyone in the room instantly began to talk and shout and stand up. Joey stood up too, picking up his stuff and making for the door. The room was filled with the dull roar of all his classmates talking. Joey didn't say a word to anyone.
He  suddenly dropped his bag on the ground and spilled his papers everywhere. He swore and bent down, gathering up all of the papers that spilled upon the floor.
The other students cleared the room and the noise level dropped. Joey quickly stuffed his things back into his bag and headed out the door.
He walked past all the lockers and stopped at his own. By the time he had grabbed all of the materials for his next class the hallway was entirely empty. He wasn't too worried about being late, though. He simply kept walking forward toward his next class, which happened to be the last class of the day.
But something felt strange. It was... a little too quiet. A strange premonition filled Joey's mind. He paused for a moment in the hallway, looking around. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. So why did he feel-?
Suddenly the windows high above the lockers exploded, sending shattered glass bits everywhere.
Joey cringed at the loud sound, looking upwards to see what happened, and was pelted with bits of broken glass. But then the lockers next to him exploded as well, sending metal and papers shooting out. Joey tried to cover his head and run for it, but it was too late. He only got a few feet. Another explosion erupted right next to him and he was thrown backwards. He screamed out in fear as his feet slipped out from underneath him. His head clunked painfully against the tile floor.
       His vision instantly went black.

'Wha.....' he thought slowly, lying on the debris covered ground. 'What happened..? Oh.. ow.. my head....' His eyes slowly opened and light made him blink quickly.
He froze, his thoughts a mess. He tried to make sense of the fuzzy image in front of him. He was looking directly at a pair of eyes that were right up in his face, almost touching his own. One green, one blue. "What the...?" he mumbled, not understanding why he should be looking at a pair of eyes after blacking out. He cocked his head slightly, his aching mind trying to figure out what was going on. Then he understood. Somebody had their face up right in front of his.
Joey stumbled backwards on his hands and knees, staring wide-eyed at person. "Who-Who are you..!?" he stuttered. Then he paused, freezing a moment. "WHAT are you!?!?"
He gasped as he realized the person was not a human at all. The thing was a strange creature instead. It looked like a male and was wearing only pants, but its bare chest looked much like a human's, except that it was inhumanly pale. It had extremely long bright red hair and two long black horns sprouting from the top of its head that bent backwards. Its eyes were of two different colors, brown and blue, even though they had been green and blue a moment ago. The creature had long black spikes jutting out from its shoulders, back, and sides, and its fingers were very long and pointed. It had pointed ears as well, with loop earrings and studs. It knelt on the ground, staring at the human teen with a cocked head and inquisitive eyes.
Joey saw the long sharp fingers and the spikes and was terrified. He stumbled backwards in fear, yet kept the creature in front of him to see if it would make any sudden movements.
The creature did. It crawled forward, keeping right  up with Joey's retreat until it was almost on top of him. It opened its mouth to reveal long sharp pointed teeth to the human under it. Its long fingers reached out and held the human down and stopped his retreat.
Joey realized he really had no chance to getting away from this thing. He tried backing away as far as the creature would let him. "Please... don't kill me..!" he pleaded, leaning his head away from it. The creature leaned closer and its tongue slipped out of its mouth. And it kept coming and coming until it was about a foot and a half. It reached out for the teen's face. "Ah!" he cried out, cringing as the wet tongue touched his flesh and stroked him.
The creature's eyes closed as it moved its tongue up and down, licking Joey's face. The human froze, wide-eyed, trying to not disturb the creature's licking so he wouldn't tick him off. 'My God, I hope I fell asleep in English class again,' he thought fearfully, feeling a little disturbed.
Then, just as suddenly as it had started, the creature released the human from its grasp and it backed up a bit, drawing the extremely long tongue back and licking its lips. Joey stopped cringing. '...It's not killing me....' he thought slowly. His gaze shifted past the creature and saw the horrible mess the hallway was in. The glass was strewn all over the floor along with bits of metal and wood. The lockers were mostly destroyed on one side and some were smoking. And lying lodged in one of the lockers was a small alien saucer thing big enough for one person. It was dented and releasing black smoke into the hallway, making the air a little hard to breathe.
It suddenly occurred to Joey what the creature was. "Oh my God!!" he cried out. "You're an alien!!" He backed up a bit and observed the alien from a safe distance.
The creature looked at him with its head cocked. Suddenly the horns on its head began to shrink back into its head. The spikes along its back and sides retracted into the skin. The long sharp fingers became rounder and its hands resembled human hands. The ears became rounded. Joey stared at it. If a person looked at it now, they would guess it was just a human. Maybe a strange human, what with the piercings and hair, but a human still.
The creature stretched its mouth open in a toothy expression resembling a smile. "Emp!" it exclaimed in a strange voice.
"...You look... like a human..." Joey commented. The creature did not respond to his words. It just looked around, observing its environment. It seemed to be very interested in everything it saw.
Joey looked at it again, his fear dissolving. It was replaced with amazement. "An alien...! In MY school!" he exclaimed. "And you seem pretty friendly... You didn't hurt me.... And the explosion DOES mean no math class...."
The alien boy reached out and grabbed Joey's backpack and put it in his mouth. He gnawed on it curiously with his sharp teeth.
'No! No way this is happening to me..!' The human thought, holding his head. 'I must still be unconscious.. This has all got to be some kind of twisted dream....' He shook his head. Aren't you not supposed to feel pain in dreams...? His head sure hurt from the fall.
Then he looked up and sighed. 'It better be a dream because he's eating my Ipod...' The alien chewed the metal happily, crunching loudly.
The boy rubbed his aching head with his hands, trying to think logically. "Ok... This is really happening... An alien has crash landed in my school... So... What does this mean to me...?" He paused. 'Wait. This means the FBI or some secret government agency or whatever they have for these things is going to come and take him away... Like in the movies and science fiction books. They can deal with him and I can go home.. They'll never have to know I was here. I can just go and pretend this whole thing never happened.. No one will ever know...' He smiled, realizing he was safe.
He watched the alien creature reach in his bag and take out his math book. He held it in both hands and licked it all over, looking very confused by it. He then tossed it behind his back so it clunked on the floor. The alien paused a moment to look at the human creature in front him with now gray and green eyes and he made a happy chirping sound like a bird at him. Then he reached back into the bag and fished around again.
Joey sighed and mentally kicked himself for thinking such thoughts. The creature didn't deserve that. 'Man... If they take him away, they'll probably lock him in a cage.. Do weird experiments on him... Maybe even dissect him or something.... Dream or not, I just can't let them torture him like that.... Damn.... I have to get him to a safe place, and fast.'
Joey stood up, looking down at the alien. It was paying him no attention. He awkwardly cleared his throat. "Um... alien... Alien!" he waved to get his attention away from licking his stuff. "Yes, you! Come on, get up! Follow me, boy! Come here! Good boy, stand up now. Good," he instructed like a dog trainer. He patted his hands on his knees and over-enthusiastically beckoned the creature over to him.
The alien perked up and cocked his head at the human's strange movements. Joey backed up a few steps, continuing to wave him over. The alien stood and followed him a few steps closer.
"There's plenty of things to lick at my house!" He took a few steps and the alien continued to follow him. Soon they both were walking, the alien behind him.
He took his eyes off him a moments and looked back. He's gotten the picture, so Joey opened the door to exit the building. The alien stopped when he did and began to again lick him from behind, getting him right in the ear. Joey twitched.
'This is going to be a looong walk home...' he thought with a sigh.
         -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Inside a poorly lit room of a house in a lazy suburb, a hand wrapped slowly around the edge of a door and it pushed it open a crack gradually. The door creaked loudly on its old hinges. There was a pause and a quick intake a breath.
Suddenly a boy burst from it, racing across the room and up the stairs like a rocket, practically dragging another confused boy behind him by the hand. As he raced up the stairs, the boy called out to anyone who might be in the house. "I'mreallytiredMomandDad,I'mgoingtogotobednow, kthanks!" he called in one jumbled breath.
A door upstairs slammed shut and again the house was quiet.
Joey leaned against it, panting in and out. He waited for one of his parents to yell at him to open the door, but no sound came from down the stairs. He sighed with relief. He'd successfully made it home alive. Perhaps his parents weren't even home, but he had to be sure they wouldn't catch him bringing the strange creature into the house...
He looked up to see the alien sitting on his bed, poking his pillow. It flashed its long fangs and chittered. It bounced up and down slightly, feeling the bed's bounciness. It seemed to please him.
Joey closed his eyes. 'What in the world have I gotten myself in to..? What do I do with him now? I can't keep him in my room forever....!' He rubbed a hand down his face. Perhaps he shouldn't have butted in.
"Nyeep!" the alien cheered, kneeling down and looking under the bed. It turned away disappointed. It turned and looked at the closet in Joey's room with mild interest instead.
Joey's eyes followed his. They locked on it. "......."

"STAY. STAY. SLEEP! STAY. GOOD BOY!" Joey bluntly instructed, wide eyed, nodding with his arms holding the closet doors open. He looked down at the alien sitting on the closet floor who merely cocked his head at him and squeezed the pillow he held against his chest.
He gave the creature a look and slowly let the doors creak shut. He held the doors together a moment, not sure what to expect. But the alien did not make a noise or try to break down the doors. He simply didn't know what else to do with him!
The exhausted human teen sighed and strolled over to his bed. He readjusted the blankets the alien had strewn all over the floor in his exploration. He laid down and pulled them over his body.
'If I'm not going to wake up from this crazy dream, then I guess I should just try to get some sleep, if I can.... I'm not sure what else I should do.... God, I'm such a sucker." He placed his wrist over his forehead and stared up at the ceiling. "Maybe I'll figure out what to do with him in the morning." Slowly his mind became more and more numb and his eyes fluttered shut. He lost his consciousness again.

The next morning, he awoke with a start. It didn't take him long to remember what happened the afternoon before. He turned toward the closet. The doors were closed still. He didn't move an inch, simply staring at it. He hadn't thought of a thing to do.
'Alright. I have to get up and see if it was all just a dream....' He swung his legs over the bed, dreading each step. Slowly he crept forward toward the doors. His hands reached out reluctantly. 'Oh please be gone, please be gone, please be gone...' he pleaded. 'Please..' His hands wrapped around the handles and he yanked the door open swiftly, cringing yet looking down at the sight.
"Ah!" he exclaimed. "Shit! He's gone!! Now where in the world is he!?!? Augh!!" he cried in frustration, unhappy he got his wish. The closet was empty except for the pile of clothes pushed off to the side and the pillow lying slumped in the corner.
He took a few steps backward, feeling a drop of sweat drip down his face. "What if Mom finds him..? What if the FBI finds him....? ...What if DAD finds him..!?!?" he thought in panic. His eyes searched every part of the closet floor. It was empty. Joey felt panic welding up inside him. He could be anywhere...! Inside the house or otherwise! Someone might find him...! What would the FBI do if they caught him with the alien? What would his parents do..!?!?
Suddenly the alien randomly popped his head out upside down from the ceiling of the closet, his hair flopping over and his long sharp teeth smiling. "ZOOPRIZE!!!!" he shouted happily at the human as he popped out like a whack-a-mole mole.
"AHHUGH!" Joey cried out in surprise, flopping onto the floor like a rock.
Part 1. As explained in my journal, I'm going to try a bit of this story to get me out of my funk with the other one. As you can tell, it's a much lighter story, and I promise, it's a very funny one. I guarantee at least 1 laugh! ^^ Well, I'm happy with it so far. This was an old comic but it was first I every put online. It's crap, but viewable at [link] Or somewhere around there. I couldn't figure out the site and my drawing sucked as it was first first time on paint.. ^^" But hey, much better as a story so far. I'll keep going with the updating thing. Weekend! I hope it makes you laugh, cuz I'm already feeling like my rut is vanishing.
For random info, I often call this MFTA for short, and the alien's name is Rayner, as explained in the next chapter. ^^
